MC Air Station New River Military Lawyer | Court Martial Attorney
The Marine Corps Air Station New River or MCAS New River (ICAO: KNCA, FAA LID: NCA) is a major operational airfield located near the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. It also shares some of its facilities with the esteemed Camp Geiger.
As a helicopter and tilt-rotor base, it is quite understandable that MCAS New River’s airfield should be named after one of the men who are considered as the father of Marine Corps helicopter aviation, Brigadier General Keith B. McCutcheon.
Both Marine Aircraft Groups 26 and 29 can be found inside the MCAS New River as well as the Headquarters Squadron, Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, and the Marine Air Control Squadron 2, Det. B. To provide the training needed by the Marine Corps, MCAS New River also hosts the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training and the 362nd Training Squadron.
