Gonzalez & Waddington – Attorneys at Law

Located 5 nautical miles of the Fort Worth central business district in Tarrant County in Texas, is the military airbase known as the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base (NAS Fort Worth JRB). The area also notably includes Carswell Field. The United States Navy Reserve operates the military airfield found in the cities of White Settlement in the Western Part of the Fort Worth Urban area, and Fort Worth.

The Carswell Air Force base located near central Fort Worth was a United States Air Force (USAF) Strategic Air Command (SAC). Majority of the airbase is within the Fort Worth city boundaries and has parts within the Westworth and White Settlement. Training and supporting heavy strategic bombing groups and wings is the base’s main mission. After the Cold War in 1991, the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission suggested the Carswell Air Force Base be closed by 1994. Later, the decision was modified and it was converted into a Joint Reserve Base retaining the Air Force Reserve presence.
