Quick answers
Should I talk to CID, NCIS, OSI, or CGIS after watching this?
No. Appear if ordered. Do not waive rights. Do not consent to a phone search. Invoke Article 31(b) and call counsel the same day.
What if investigators say they just want my side?
That is evidence collection. Do not clear it up. Stop talking, write a private timeline for counsel, and call Gonzalez & Waddington: 1-800-921-8607.
Watch on YouTube. Questions about a case: call 1-800-921-8607 or text 954-799-4019.
Educational information only. Not legal advice. Using this briefing does not create an attorney-client relationship. Facts, commands, and outcomes vary. For advice about your case, speak with a lawyer.

The moment you receive a notification, the clock starts. And the earlier a lawyer can begin helping you gather evidence, shape your narrative, and build a credible rebuttal, the better your chances of getting a favorable outcome. A reprimand does not always end your career. I’ve helped countless clients overturn them, downgrade them, or get them filed locally so that they don’t follow the member forever. The success or failure of your case almost always starts with the strength of your written response.
So if you’re in that position right now, don’t panic. Don’t sit on your hands and hope it goes away. And don’t submit something rushed, emotional, or not professionally written. This is a moment where you need skill, experience, and strategy. Your future deserves that level of protection.
If you need help, reach out. Talk to someone who has done this for decades, like myself: someone who knows how to challenge investigations, protect careers, and write rebuttals that actually change a commander’s mind. You don’t have to fight this alone, and you absolutely shouldn’t try to navigate it by yourself. Your career is too important. You only get one chance to get this right.
