The Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune is a large, United States-owned military training institution located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The entire facility is about 246-square-miles with a long strip (14 miles) of beach running along its outer edges. This makes the MCB Camp Lejeune one of the major areas for training soldiers on amphibious assault. As it is also located between Wilmington and Morehead City – two essential deep-water ports – Camp Lejeune also allows for faster marine deployments.

Aside from these two, Stone Bay also has a number of shooting ranges: three for rifles, two for pistols and one especially reserved for snipers.
